Venezia

Walking out of the train station in Venice is a very special experience. Immediately you are hit by the sight of water everywhere. It really is a unique city. That being said, it’s not the best place to have luggage on wheels. A backpack would have been better, there are over three thousand bridges with stairs all over the city. Taking a walking tour of the city’s residential area was a real treat, it included some really interesting knowledge of the Jewish ghetto in town. Ever heard of being in the red? The meaning comes from red door on the pawn shop in the world’s first ghetto – it is located in Venice! We also had a lovely eating experience purely by chance, and that’s not easy in a city crawling with tourist traps. Make sure to check out Ancóra.
